On the morning of February 27th, the conference on construction of innovative provinces and science and technology awards was held in Hunan Hotel. Du Jiahao, secretary of Hunan Province party committee, Xu Dazhe, deputy secretary of the provincial party committee and governor, and Li Weiwei, chairman of the provincial CPPCC, attended the conference and presented awards to the winners. Zou Xuexiao attended the conference as the academician and president of HUNAU. The leading members of Science and Technology Division and some award-winning representatives of HUNAU attended the conference.

5 winners of the 11th Hunan Guangzhao Science and Technology Award and 220 science and technology awards were announced and commended at the conference. HUNAU has received 14 awards for scientific and technological achievements, including 9 presiding projects and 5 participating projects. Among the 9 presiding projects, 3 second prizes and 6 third prizes have been awarded.

After the conference, President Zou Xuexiao and the award-winning representatives of HUNAU made cordial exchanges and took group photos. He encouraged the teachers of our university to continually follow the new trends of science and technology development at home and abroad, adhere to scientific and technological innovation, and actively serve the society. In the future, HUNAU will continue to adhere to the "agriculture"-based policy, support teachers to actively carry out scientific research and conduct more high-level scientific research. The new situations of scientific research, technological innovation and the construction of “double-first-class” will further strengthen the scientific research forces of our university, better serve the local economic construction of Hunan, and play a larger and broader role in promoting the development of industry and society.
